Keeping a theme throughout your artwork is important when you're an artist. Let's say you're making a series of paintings. You want them to relate to each other without being the same piece over and over again. You can do this by keeping the same color pallet or using the same symbols to represent things. So if a circle=happiness, you can keep that theme the same through all of your art in the series. The theme is something that can appeal to the viewer and yourself. For me, aesthetics are important. How pleasing things are to the eyes; affects how I feel about my art. If the colors match the others that are used in the painting. Things like this can help take your painting and artist’s ability to the next level.
